JEREMIAD: "FREAKED OUT..." BY MYLES
Whenever darkness creeps in,
Jumping out of my skin I want to,
Since it frights me to death,
Running to my safest haven I can't,
Since I get crippled there en then.
In the dark my horrors haunt me,
They tip toe towards me,
Invisible they're, yet they can be heard,
Since they haul like the wind,
As they whistle leaving me shaky as a branch.
I feel like I'm in a tomb,
Where mummies are preserved,
As sand caves be my home,
While my oasis is dry,
To mean I've no hope left.
Dying to see the moon,
As its rays bless my skin,
While its beauty reminisces my eyes,
A dream never coming true,
Blind I'm since my cocoon be thick.
MYLES THE MASTERPIECE ✍🏽
(Spitting pen 🖋🖋)
The poet persona laments over the continuity of pursuing dreams without getting positive results. He concludes that the lateness of dreams makes him feel he is blind. The speaker seems to have lost all his hopes.
