BECAUSE I AM A WOMAN- BY AWESU JAMIU

Actually, I saw a post on one of the social medias, about a lady making a graduation speech, I felt so aspired and emotional that gave me no option than to write it down for those out there that this might also be benefiting to or/and maybe, they don't have access to what I just watched and they might need it too. So here it is;

"First of all, please allow me to introduce myself, I'm WONG ZHAOYANG and most of you know me as SUNNY I'm from a not so famous city in China called GUANGZHOU. I also come from a very traditional and conservative family, well, most parents are so excited to be here today but my parents are extremely upset right now. They were upset two years back when I came here as well and here is why; "I'm 24 years old and I'm not married, how scary is that? Funny isn't it?. In my culture, I am one of the leftovers and for those who don't know the term, leftovers are women who are too old to be single 🥲, and one of the downsides of being raised in a traditional and conservative family is that, you are not really encouraged to explore or change;
because I am a woman, I should be quite
because I am a woman I should try to find a nice guy and settle down before am too old to be on the market
because I am a woman I should get a stable job _(she meant after training jobs like, hairdressing, tailoring, petty trading, like the pacesetting in our society here in Nigeria")_ right out of college and avoid risk at all cost;
But
because I am a woman I know I don't have to follow these rules.
because I am a woman I can break through,
because I am a woman that circle can no longer hold me, anyone can be anything.. _(audience applauding)_

Abu qaanit woohoo, yeah... now to me, I'll like to pick it up from where she stopped, "anyone can be anything" of cause that's the privilege everyone has and no one can refrain or deprive you from being it unless you decide that yourself. So also she said something about culture, and I think globally, this is a great reflection on any societies and woman are deprive from many responsibilities, telling them their spaces and limitations because of what their natural being tells us.
They aren't strong
They are feeble
And too weak to handle things like we (men) do

They are women and of cause they can do more than we man do manly, but is it to some extents?
Should culture and westernization come in as barrier? What of upbringing? Maybe religion!

Of cause among these are the reprimanding women are to give responses too..

But yet, nothing is limited to what woman can do so far the aspiration is there and not the culture, westernization, religion or society hold of them.
