ODE: "WHAT I CALL A CHRISTMAS" BY KWABENA
What I call a Christmas,
What I know as yuletide, are
vessel with tank-full of fish meals
served to every tummy on deck.
What I call a Christmas,
What I know as yuletide, are
condos teemed in unmixed hilarity
and leaking bones eradicated by both
progenitors and scions.
What I call a Christmas,
What I know as yuletide, is
hope granted unto the despaired
and love accorded the forsaken.
What I call a Christmas,
What I know as yuletide, is
a two-sweetheart entrusting
their unique world in truth
and adoring their adoration.
What I call a Christmas,
What I know as yuletide, is
flourishing see-saw swings with allies
and caress on our four-footed.
What I call a Christmas,
What I know as yuletide, is
we being devoted starlights
Like the aglow child bred for all.
