JEREMIAD: "LIFE HAS LOST ITS TASTE" BY CYRA
Llife seems a challenge
yet I have no face to face challenge
the world seems to be against
early mornings I am up to hustle
just to lay something on the table
disappointments knocks my door
as the day ends embarrassing
long days travel
unhumiliating scorching sun
just to go back empty handed
weird sounds from my empty stomach
they say imperfection is ditched to perfection
but I see death more better than reflection
for my life is truly in starvation
I can't cope up with narration
the chain seems quiet long
daddy ditched mummy
mummy ditched me off to streets
street has now eliminated me
I have no one to watch over
life has turned everything over
my own me I lack value in me
miracles happen but not someone like me
I wish the ground would open up
swallow me to the forgotten world
not to leave even a mark of my bliss or my grief .
CYRA THE POET
(Dripping Pen)
The poet persona laments over the challenges in the world and wishes that the ground swallows him. He does not want to be remembered for his happiness or sadness.
