JEREMIAD: "WILL I EVER?" BY MYLES
Will I ever find happiness
Will my face be like the evening star,
As it rises to entice the night,
Or will my face be the sun
And brighten a day without scorching it!
Will I ever smile
Show the world my discolored teeth
While I work on whitening them
As they get reflective
Though they're no mirror.
Will I ever feel the embrace
Embrace from a caring soul
As she kisses liveliness in me
While she helps me patch holes on my boat
To keep me floating.
Will I ever know what love is
Should I keep on viewing it as scam
Or should I keep on trashing it
I think I should shred it
Though I've no paper shredder!
