DIDACTIC: "IT IS JUST INTEREST" BY AJAKAYE AND ESSAMBAI
AJAKAYE:
If I love the green tree,
and your lips get stuck in its disgusting taste,
should I cut my lip,
or should you cease to eat?
Trees have leaves to be boiled,
same tree has a fruit,
it is just interest,
if not leaves for agbo,
the sunny fruits might interest your thirst.
ESSAMBAI
And that's where my thirst lies,
Beneath the sunshine when the lights go down,
On sultry lips with my lips against yours,
Two heart beats and many call it love.
But all I see, it's that genuine interest where love meets its other half,
That's just you and me babe when we let our hearts spark,
Free from the world, just solely us,
What interest can we have again, apart from our love?
Heart to heart, friend of mine,
AJAKAYE:
It is just interest,
or it was just interest?
We are humans just like our fearless fathers,
this choice has no cause to make choking challenges,
I still walk with legs,
you still eat like I do,
so does our varied interest still do in their fortified flats,
majority has married us her voice,
it's is just interest
and this arguments need no interest.
ESSAMBAI:
So let's walk together as one,
Let's hold each other's hand,
See me as your brother and not as your foe,
Remember it's the interest of the people that matters and that's the call we must hold.
A future to a better ever after,
Hold my hand let's walk together as brothers.
