6TH EDITION OF VOICE OF THE MIMBARR: ISLAMIC SOLUTION TO NIGERIA'S CURRENT SOCIO-ECONOMIC PROBLEM- BY DR. RAZAQ BOLAWAYE

Of all approaches to ensure sustainable life of  Nigeria citizens is guaranteed, the need to complement Allah's provisions appears inestimable. The mysterious absence of human angle of this provisions accounts for constant hues in the human circle, part of which is the current Nigeria Socio-economic Situation.

Allah _(SWT)_ maintains that the current unpleasant situation arose ultimately from constant obstinacy endemic in human circle.

The glorious Qur'an 30:41 says: Mischief appears on the land and the sea, resulting from human misdeeds and for them to taste of the effects of their misdemeanor.

Furthermore, Allah maintains that: "Fear emanating problem which often envelope not only those erring and be aware that Allah is of fierce punishment.

All along, Qur'an 8:53 puts on the track that: "That is to show that Allah will surely not turn the welfare of some people unless they resolve to change their situation and that Allah is oft Hearing and oft Knowledgeable."

Corruption appears as avarice, bribery, indolence, oppression, devouring orphans properties, treachery, craftiness and lots more. Most important factor that is missing among people is love which engenders 'live and let live' principles.

Several reasons contribute to corruption. Ungratefulness, extravagance, envy, mutual suspicion, lack of contentment and of course, doing ordinarily and expecting extra-ordinary outcome.

Another face to corruption is leadership and follower-ship. The same Qur'an verse that concerns followers with unalloyed loyalty to leaders places a huge responsibility on leaders to be fair and transparent.

Complementary fairness mentioned in Qur'an 4:59:  "Obey Allah, obey the Messenger and those in charge of authority, and if you resolve on anything relate it to Allah and His Messenger..."

In effect, corruption imparts greatly on leaving people in acute penury amidst of abundant resources and Oil boom has re-incanated into consistent doom. The much respected price-control had become utter oblivion, Capitalist syndrome has defaced humanitarian zeal; (for the holy Messenger __(SAW) : "Surely your Lord is One and your father is One and from dust."  Cutting corners is now the order of the day and Insecurity, Banditry, Kidnap and lots menace become at the center- stage of the social system.

By extension, Banking halls have recently become host of acrobatic lunatics for both male and female depositors who by making of the Banks are perennially denied access to their fund. Buying money with money is on the prow at every corner of human settlement.

However, unless the spirited love is returned to engender humanitarian face. Leadership should be re-directed just as follower-ship be re-engineered in the right perspectives. Creation of employment and de-emphasis on money is important. Self-examination is the watch-word while voting credibly attracts vitality.

Above-all, Q7:199 sums up the segment while it submits that: "Maintain fairness, enjoin goodness and turn away from the ignorant." 

May Allah avail us with what it takes and give us wherewithal to follow suit; as contrary to showing us what is bad and give us enablements to desist from it.
