ROMANTICISM: "REFLECTION" BY MYLISTIC
I look into the water, I see me,
The me that smiles, yet I ain't showing my teeth,
Is the reflective me being a trickster, I may be hallucinating!
Or I got monkeys for an eye, they seem to be mischievous.
Slight wind on the water, tiny waves formed,
Replacing my reflection, damn! What a serene?
How can they be artistic, ooh! I mean the tiny aquatic creatures,
They seem to have noticed my sorrow, they've chosen that I be happy.
I'm startled at the formations, so amazing,
Can they see through my heart, do they've the x-ray vision?
Or are they mind readers, maybe mind projectors?
I'm baffled, jumping off my skin I'd.
You're all I see, you're the reflective me,
Your face, shimmers like the pearl,
Are you the moon, your glow is scorching,
Be my prison, I wanna be locked in you.

The poet persona sees his reflection in water and assumes that the aquatic animals can read his state of mind just like art.
