MAXIMIZING THE LAST 10 DAYS OF RAMADAN- BY SAKEEENAH'WRITES

The Prophet Muhammed (SAW) said, "Whoever draws near to Allah during this month by doing some good deeds is like one who does an obligatory action at any other time, and the one who does an obligatory action during this month is like one who does seventy obligatory actions at any other times."

Dear muslims, the month of Ramadan we were all looking forward to is gradually coming to an end, which means we have ample time to perform more good deeds which will earn us the pleasure of Allah in this holy month of Ramadan.

Dear muslims, do we realize that we have less than 10 days to increase our ibadah, draw closer to Allah and turn a new leaf in this holy month of Ramadan. Do we realize all these? Dear muslims, time waits for no one, Ramadan waits for no one, even our tomorrow is not guaranteed but we have today to maximize right, we have today to increase our good deeds, we still have today to complete the Quran, we still have today to do a lot of charity even if it's a simple smile, we still have today to wake up for tahajjud and we still have today to please Allah.

Dear muslims, let's not waste this today by doing that which will distance us from rather than bring us close to Allah, for the month of Ramadan is more than just staying away from food and drink.

Dear Muslims, Allah did not send down the month of Ramadan to punish us but to reduce our punishment. The month of Ramadan is here to help us mend our ways, to become better muslims, to purify us, to increase our self-discipline and strengtheton us by not looking at, touching, thinking about, walking to and listening to haram(music).

*Dear muslims, we are in the last 10 days of Ramadan, a very critical time for Muslims, a time when Allah answers the prayer of every Muslim praying with sincerity and a time when Allah is ready to forgive all your past sins if you seek his forgiveness.*
During the last 10 days of Ramadan, the Prophet Muhammed (SAW) used to exert himself in devotion to a greater extent than at any other time in the hope of catching these exponential rewards.

Dear brethren now is not the time for us to waste on worldly things, now is not the time for us to take for granted, now is not the time for us to backbite, gossip, go to night parties, listen to Wizkid, Portable, Olamide, Justin Bieber and other related haram music that will snatch away our reward in this holy month. Now is not the time for us to waste on social media, now not the time us to watch our favourite tv series and now is not the time for us to engage in unnecessary conversations!

*Dear muslims, this is the time for us to keep our lips moist in remembrance of Allah, this is the time for us to listen to tafsirs, lectures from Muslim lecturers and melting Quran recitations. Now is the time for us to increase our good deeds, read more pages of the Quran, perform more nawafil, boost our Iman, and build productive bonds with our fellow Muslims, this is the time to worship Allah with sincerity and dexterity and this is the time to enjoin good and forbid evil.*

Dear muslims, everything we prioritize over our ibadah in this holy month of Ramadan may stay but the month of Ramadan will not remain, our Tiktok, Facebook and Instagram pages may remain but we may not live longer than today or now itself.

Wallahi I know it may seem difficult especially when we feel like we have to do this or that at a particular time,  wallahi I know it's not easy to stay away from our phones but please for Allah's sake any little time we know that we have nothing meaningful to do on our phones, let's keep it aside and dedicate that little time to the worship of Allah.

The Prophet Muhammed (SAW) cursed those muslims who did not attain the forgiveness of Allah in the holy month of Ramadan. If Allah does not forgive you in the month of Ramadan especially these last 10 days of Ramadan, then when will Allah forgive you? WHEN my dear brothers and sisters! Or are you so perfect that you don't need the forgiveness of Allah?

This is the last 10 days of Ramadan my dear brothers and sisters, so let us maximize it like it's our last, let us pray like it's our last, let us live today like we have no tomorrow, and let us leave everything for the sake of Allah in this last 10 days of Ramadan and let us strive to make this year's Ramadan better than last year's own.

May Allah not make us among those whose fast will be rejected on the day of yawmal qiyyamah(judgement day), may Allah not make this our last Ramadan, may Allah count us among those who will be forgiven in this holy month and may accept all our good seeds from us as an act of Ibadah. Amin!
