FIVE QUALITIES OF A GOOD MENTEE- BY DR. GANIU

1. You are willing to endure: You are not going to determine your mentor's personality so if there is something you wish to learn from him, you must be ready to tolerate the things you do not like about him. He is a human. 

2. You are not in a hurry: Some mentees are so much in haste that it becomes clear they just want steal from the person they call a mentor. They are the ones who always say: "you have not taught me that thing", "you have not shown me how to do it", "you have not attended to me all day", "you have not given me any platform". You don't dictate your mentor's pace. If you must, just quit. 

3. You are not a parasite: For many, they don't understand that mentees too must bring something to the table. If you can't add value to your mentor in whatever little way you can think of, then you are not worthy of being called a mentee. Be willing to serve your mentor. We serve to learn. 

4. You are loyal: As soon as you have to start telling people he is not a good mentor, it will be a better decision to cut off the mentoring relationship. It is evil to speak evil of your mentor. A mentee should be loyal. 

5. You are sincere: You should be able to give your mentor honest feedback. While this, of course, must be done politely, it will be bad to perceive A and tell your mentor B.
