ODE: "FIRST LETTER" BY LASISI VICTOR
Brotherly,
Your plight and songs of hardship
Remains my awful trauma,
I know how hard it was,
And always have been.
Every pain you ever went through
Removes a string of bone from my rib.
Thus I want to extend to you
My sincere empathy and undieing love.
Always remember that
You are an eagle amidst thousand doves,
You are not meant to walk
But to soar high in face of the skies.
The Lagosity in you remains unwashed
You are an indestructible particle of Lagos,
You are a product from the Centre of Excellence,
You have in your veins the 'Blood of Old Lagos Empire'.
Till your broken wings heal,
Never try to give up.
Till we see again
In time and with Chance.
Yours Brotherly.
