ODE: "DEAR DAD" BY SAKEEENAH'WRITES

EVERYDAY IS FATHERS DAY, EVERYDAY IS MOTHERS DAY, AND FOR THAT REASON, THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE LOVED, RESPECTED AND PRAYED FOR NOT JUST ONE DAY OF THE YEAR, NOT JUST ONE DAY OF THE WEEK, BUT EVERY DAY OF OUR LIVES AS THEIR CHILDREN. STILL, I WANT TO USE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SPECIALLY SAY HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO EVERY RESPONSIBLE AND AMAZING DAD OUT THERE!

This poem is dedicated to MY SUPERMAN, MY AMAZING DAD, and all the responsible fathers out there.

Dear dad,

You are the best buddy I have ever had,

having you as a dad makes me glad,

you make me smile even when I'm sad,

you smile for me even when you are sad,

Strong, brave, and rarely sad,

Oh, you are my superman dear dad.

Dear dad, you are my number one,

Kinder and stronger than everyone,

Taught me how to do what’s right,

Comforted me when I awoke in the night,

Taught me how to be smarter,

Most of all I love the laughter,

Oh, I am proud to be your daughter.

Dear dad, you are my guiding light,

Just like the north star in a dark night,

You taught me right from wrong,

And told me when to be strong,

Taught me how to deal with pain,

And gave me hope when all things fail.

May your sleepless nights not go in vain.

Painfully as a child, we had little time to spend together,

But those memories I always hold dearer.

Dear dad, may your dreams not shatter,

May your laughter not wither,

And may God not put us asunder.

For all the times you held my hand,

Much love and respect I have for you, my amazing dad.

LET'S PRAY: From your daughter, to our amazing fathers, may you reap all the fruits of your labor, may every good thing you lay your hand on yield good results, may we, your daughters be a source of pride and joy to you, may God give you the strength to carry out your duties as the husbands to wives and fathers to your daughters EFFECTIVELY AND SINCERELY.

May your respect and honor in the sight of children not fade away, may our future husbands love, respect and treat you in the best of manners, may they honor you just like they would honor their own fathers, may ill health not snatch away your good health, may your enemies be destroyed the same way Allah destroyed the generations who transgressed against him, and may Allah build for you a special place in Al-Jannah. Amin!
