PHONE CALL NUGGETS 001- BY SAKEEENAH'WRITES

Frankly speaking, some people can be really exasperating, especially guys in this case. Imagine calling me for the first time WITH A STRANGE NUMBER, and you are starting the conversation with *"HOW FAR or WASSUP"* What! HOW FAR with what exactly? What pending business do we have that you are greeting me with "HOW FAR." Puff, habits like this irks me, and I scorn them.

Even to my close friends, I strictly made it known to some of them that I'm not comfortable with they greeting me or starting our conversation with statements like "how far or wassup." So why will I condone that from a stranger.

I know there are times when you and I have actually been close pals for sometime now, but along something happened and you had to change your phone number, which means that I automatically do not have your number and any call from you is regarded as strange.

So, if you receive a call from a strange number, or you are calling someone using a new number, even if you already know it's Mr x or y, as long as the other person is yet to know who he/she is speaking with, then at that moment, a proper self introduction(Hello or Assalamualaikum, this is...., I changed my number or this is my new phone number) from you is necessary, if possible mandatory, NOT saying "wassup or how far." please!

I know these things may sound strange to most of us, yes, it fine, it happens, but we have to learn it, because it's part of growth.

But, no matter who you are speaking with, be it a close friend, loved one or stranger, as long as you are calling or speaking with that person for the first time, especially with a strange number, then please BE SENSIBLE, LEARNED AND MATURED ENOUGH TO INTRODUCE YOURSELF BRIEFLY, POLITELY AND PROPERLY. It's part of self growth and communication skills.
