UMM SALAMA HIND BINT ABU UMAYYAH: PROPOSAL AND CONSENT- BY ABU QAANIT

As-Salaam Alaykum (peace be upon you) over there, it has been a while and I'm sorry for the short break I gave myself on my writing "prophet Muhammad and his wives", the break was necessary and I am sorry if it was too long.
I appreciate those that checked and asked for the remaining parts of my story, and also those that commended my writings and their words of encouragement and support. I sincerely appreciate it. Thanks.

Today, just like yesterday, everything has been going on naturally and the phenomenon tends to maintain its subsequent occurrences, people die and babies are welcomed, the wretches are still out there likewise the wealthy, the stingy and the philanthropist ain't left out. Anyway that's not the part I am writing about today, I had a slight touch of a coincidence which made me utter those words.

Let's talk about "Proposal and Consent" of the marital affairs between the prophet Muhammad and Umm Salama Hind bint Abi Umayya relating it to contemporary Muslim home and upcoming Muslim couples, to serve as a piece of; if possible, solving relating negative issues surrounding ideal Muslim homes and upcomings.
Same like how I used to get my title and inspiration for my writings, this topic "proposal and consent" was mentioned in one of the classes I had this week. Apparently, the course is fascinating on its own, while the contents never cease to be encouraging and involving. I understood the stand of the lecturer when he was talking about the significance of "proposal and consent" as legal entrance to marriage. I traveled to the historical record of the prophet Muhammad and his wives and I met a very beautiful story of one of the prophet's wives and I'll love to share with you.

I'll picture this great story from a reflection of Amir and Aisha. Rest your back and just a tip of your finger is needed for the scrow 😉. Oh before I forget, I'm JUSH 🙂

                  Amir and Aisha
Once upon a time in a small Muslim community called Jalaalah, there lived a young couple named Amir and Aisha. They were deeply in love and had been together for several years. As their relationship grew stronger, they began contemplating marriage and the lifelong commitment it entailed.

Amir was a devout follower of Islam, and he wanted their marriage to be built on the principles of love, respect, and consent, just as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had exemplified in his own life. Inspired by the Prophet's marriage to Umm Salama Hind bint Abi Umayya, Amir sought to emulate their beautiful relationship and draw lessons from it to create a strong foundation for his own marriage.

Amir shared his thoughts with Aisha, expressing his desire to follow the Prophet's example in seeking her consent and understanding for their marital affairs. He believed that it was crucial to involve Aisha in every decision they made as a couple, recognizing her individuality and the importance of her voice in their relationship.

Aisha was moved by Amir's sincerity and his commitment to their mutual well-being. She admired the Prophet Muhammad's respect for Umm Salama and the way he had treated her as an equal partner. Aisha felt reassured and cherished knowing that Amir held the same values and wanted to honor her autonomy within their marriage.

As they began their journey towards marriage, Amir and Aisha engaged in open and honest communication. They discussed their dreams, goals, and expectations for their life together. They explored various aspects of their faith and how they could incorporate them into their daily lives.

Amir, ever mindful of consent, never pushed Aisha into any decision. Instead, he encouraged her to voice her thoughts and feelings, making her an active participant in their plans. They discussed matters such as education, careers, raising children, and financial responsibilities, always seeking common ground and understanding.

Amir and Aisha's families were delighted to see their commitment to each other and their dedication to building a strong Muslim home. They, too, were inspired by the Prophet's marriage to Umm Salama and the respect he had shown her. Their families became instrumental in supporting the couple's journey, offering guidance and wisdom rooted in Islamic teachings.

On their wedding day, Amir and Aisha exchanged vows, promising to uphold the values of love, respect, and consent throughout their married life. They knew that their union would not be without challenges, but they were confident that by following the path set by the Prophet Muhammad, they could overcome any obstacles that came their way.

Years passed, and Amir and Aisha's marriage flourished. Their home became a haven of peace, love, and harmony, a true reflection of the beauty of Islam. They raised their children with the same principles, teaching them the importance of consent, respect, and understanding in all relationships.

Word of their exemplary marriage spread throughout the community, inspiring other Muslim couples to reflect on their own relationships. Amir and Aisha's story became a guiding light, motivating and influencing many to embrace the teachings of Islam and build strong, healthy marriages based on mutual consent and respect.

Through their journey, Amir and Aisha exemplified the timeless message of the Prophet's marriage to Umm Salama. Their story became a testament to the transformative power of Islamic values in contemporary society and a reminder of the immense beauty that lies within the teachings of Islam.
