26TH EDITION OF VOICE OF THE MIMBARR: LESSONS FROM EIDUL AD-HA- BY DR. RAZAQ BOLAWAYE

Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim.

"Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar; La ilaha illa Allahu Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa li Llahil hamdu."

Much of this glorification is booked to be said during the Eid days which spanned across 10th - 13th days of Dhul-Hijjah i.e Ayyamu t Tashriq dueing which Pilgrims in Saudi Arabia troop out to cast stone on principalities of devils, otherwise known as Jamrah. Muslims all over the world are enjoined to do the same across fifteen daily Salat starting from Zuhri of the Eid day. This nonetheless, is purposeful to commemorate the rites of sacrifice in line with the noble Prophets Muhammad and Ibrahim (AS).

The main lessons of Eidul Ad-ha include and not limited to the following:

Allah is capable of solving problems irrespective of how long and the tolls taken on human. It only charges a Muslim to be steadfast, focus, persevere, be grateful, hopeful in Allah, optimistic, subservient to Allah, giving unto others, respect the brotherhood of humanity, complete reliance on Allah for sustenance, and holding on to supplications (Du'a).

It is on these Prophet Ibrahim's plight became lessened and his prayers became utterly accepted. Today, it is unimaginable that to hear the cost of Hajj which has the bottom-line as 3.5 million naira. This attests to the fact that it is not only might but that the turn-by-turn conundiu and that indicates that waiting for appropriate time and turn in life is important.

Not only that, Prophet Ibrahim's descendants rule the world. The Arabs from Prophet Ismail and Israelites from Prophet Is-haq cannot be brushed apart in today's world spiritual and mundane order. It behoves Muslim individuals to seek fervently the favour of Allah for everlasting and sustainable blessing during and after Eidul Ad-ha.

We pray Allah to perpetuate us all on land for the benefits of Allah's worship. "Kullu 'aami nahnu bil khayr".
