POETRY OF CONSCIOUSNESS: "...BRAVELY MADE A WOMAN" BY INTROVET GWESHE
I was born, Why?
To be in the kitchen, To sweep, to do the dishes. To wait for a man ,who will ask for my hand in marriage.
Then I'm taught how to treat my husband right.
After marriage I have to give birth to an heir, if I can't give birth to a son
I'm considered a shame to the family,a disgrace to my father.
All and just because I'm a woman.
I'm a woman who believes in what she wants.
Nothing is stronger than a woman who believes in what she wants.
I believe we all need equal treatment.
The country should be a place where we are free like birds not confined like prisoners.
I will fight till the end, I got Beauty with Brains.
I'm a bravely made woman.

The poet persona laments over the extreme subduing of the feminine sex. The voice is ready to stand strongly for her fundamental rights as a pure human.
