I GAVE UP ON FIRST CLASS FAR BEFORE I REACHED THE CLASS- BY BRIGHT HABEEB

I am a student who recognizes the depth of the term  "individual differences" right from the secondary classes. I always prove to have a clear recognition of my strengths and weaknesses, not knowing over-confidence was part of my problem.

I believed I am one who slightly tipped the scale of academic average; I was far better than an "olodo" as we call "a dullard" colloquially and as well different from a genius. I always said it: I can never fail any subject or any course of knowledge, rather my score may not go far above average. This view might have kept me humble, but it's unfortunate that it sank into my subconscious and created limits that ruined what I could potentially achieve.

To my younger colleagues, do not create a limit to what you can achieve. Strive till you may never blame yourself for not getting a good thing.

 In furtherance,
When I got admitted, the fact that scholars of each department are given scholarship grants by the school management only motivated me for a week. After that, the Preconceived average perception surpassed any motivation for it.

Also, It was too late before I realized one doesn't have to be exponentially brilliant before he bags a first-class grade in this school especially in my kind of department, Mathematics. You only have to have certain things the first-grade students have. In my five delayed years in school, I have carefully studied how scholars and first-class students usually have some things in common

1. They have the innate ability to get good grades.
2. They have mentors who have good grades.
3.  They are conscious about getting good grades
4. They help others to have good grades.
5. They have good grades.

I'll continue this on the next part of the post.
