DIDACTIC: "APPRECIATE MY EXISTENCE" BY YUSHAB ABOLORE
Appreciate my existence, oh world so vast,
Don't wait till I'm gone, to show love that lasts.
For time is fleeting, and life is brief,
Let us value each other, and live with relief.
Appreciate my existence, oh world so wide,
For I am facing my battles with stride.
Behind my smile, my heart is torn and tied,
And I fight each day to keep the pain inside.
I am here today, and tomorrow may not be.
So see me, hear me, before it's too late to be.
A friend, a confidante, a shoulder to lean,
For a little kindness, can heal all wounds unseen.
I need your kindness, your warmth, your care,
To see me through when life just isn't fair.
To be my light when I am lost in despair,
And remind me that there is still love to spare.
Don't wait for me to leave, to say how you feel,
For I want to know, that my life mattered, for real
Let me know that I'm here, for a reason profound,
And my existence, in this world, carries weight all around.
To shower me with love pretending to be fun.
For while I know my worth, it's not enough,
To give me peace when my road is rough
So appreciate me while I am here to stay,
And let my world be filled with brighter days.
For sometimes all it takes is a simple display,
To ease my fears and chase my tears away.
Appreciate my existence, and I promise you this,
That your love and kindness, will never go amiss.
For when we lift each other up, in times of need,
We create a world, full of love, hope, and benevolent deeds.

The poet persona mirrors life as being too complex and shocking for dreams. Yet, the bard submits that life should appreciate his existence with the flow of love amongst one another.
