JEREMIAD: "WHY DO I WRITE?" BY YUSHAB ABOLORE
I wrote my fears, sorrows, and tears,
Into a story for all to hear,
But the memories still haunt and pierce,
Despite the words that may appear.
In just one minute, I shared my pain,
But the hurt lingers, it won't wane,
I can't run from this harsh reality,
My past follows me like a fatality.
I tried to put it all on paper,
To make sense of the tears and capers,
But the pain still seeps through my fingertips,
This sorrow, my heart forever grips.
So even though I've shared my tale,
The wound remains and won't prevail,
But I hope it helps others see,
The pain that lies inside of me.

The poet personae portrays how he laments his pains by writing. Still, this pains does not stop hunting his feelings. Yet, he hopes his readers learn from his experiences which he writes.
