ROMANCE: "RAIN'S REDEMPTION" BY OLA WRITES
In this rain, I long to stand and soak,
For hours or days, let it wash me clean,
Perhaps then it would wash away the yoke,
Of inner pains that long have been unseen.
The drops would cleanse my soul and set me free,
From all the hurt that’s held me in its thrall,
And in this rain, I’d find sweet licence,
As all my pains are washed away in all.
Oh how I long to feel the rain’s embrace,
To let it wash away my every care,
And leave me with a smile upon my face,
As I stand free from pain and free from tear.
