JEREMIAD: "TELL THEM, GOODBYE" BY MATYR AND KARIM

Tell my mother I won't be home,
Tell her Matyr did not make it,
Tell her I fought till the last minute,
But the undefeated death still won.

Tell my dad Kareem gave his all,
But sadly, his all was not enough,
So he lost it to the dark angel,
Tell him I never gave up, I died fighting.

Tell Junior I will be gone,
Tell him I'm not coming back,
Tell him I traveled not to return,
Tell him to stay strong, I request.

Tell my sister I will be no more,
Her brother was called by the creator,
He's been a good servant, a rest he's been offered,
So tell her to cry not, all gonna be fine.

And to you, please take heart my love,
I wish I could give you one last kiss,
But it's too late, the alarm is calling,
So just tell them, I said goodbye.

I fear the day I will be a memory,
When you willl look,
At my picture and weep,
Unable to smile,
For I will be no more.

Each tick of the clock counts down,
Reminding us that our time is short,
One moment we are together,
The next, we might be torn apart.

One day, you will tell them of our promises,
The ones we couldn't fulfill together,
Yes, I'm scared of that day.

I fear the day I will leave,
Without a goodbye,
When you will mourn my absence,
And replace me with someone better.

I will be the only one,
Who feels the weight of the mound,
But I won't be able to tell tales about it,
For I will be gone,
And dead men tell no tales.
