ROMANTICISM: "EWU NBE(2)" BY OJIJI
Agemo! Agemo!! Agemo!!!
What are you doing here? I asked in fear and confusion...
How dare he send God of war to me?
Attacks come through all angles, no shield can protect,
So I called on my ancestral guardians, she kept me in her belly, the tree.
A battle line I dare not cross got crossed.
In the final clash, the truth unveiled,
As the stick's edge pierced through,
I pushed deep, and deeper to the deepest then...
her mask fell off...
The warlord's cruel deceit revealed,
Her tearful eyes are like that of a baby, crying to tell Mama she's hurt, she can't,
Her voice could not be heard...
A whisper in the winds of war, a love both fierce and true,
A warrior mourned, a love betrayed, a tale of battles lost,
In the pages of history, is our story's bitter cost.

The poet persona mourns the sorrowful moment of the War Lord, stimulating him to unconsciously kill the woman he loves. The secret of Jagun Jagun is revealed, as he uses the stolen child he trains for negative spiritual funtions. Yet, the voice of this poem has lost a precious part of him, his woman.
