ACADEMICS, ALWAYS BELIEVE IN YOUR POTENTIALITIES- BY PROF. DOSUNMU
Good morning to everyone. I present this not to gloat but inspire. I was the emergency book Reviewer at Raddison Blu, the venue of this book launch yesterday. I was a jittery of what to say in the midst of legal luminaries. The assignment was given to ten minutes before presentation; no time to explain what happened to the substantive Reviewer. However, I was clapped and cheered ( to my amazement) several times while on duty. Permit me to give some exerpts of the presentation that drew applause:
1. The book tells the gory, gruelling story of one in search of justice for the downtrodden during the 1993 demonic operations of Abacha which culminated into democratic fiasco.
2. The book opens with sausage rolls of quotable quotes which enjoin that mental fortification is an awesome weapon in adversities and against the barrel of guns.
3. It is noteworthy that in the midst of Palace coup and higledy-pigledy in town during General Babangida's leg regime, a woman found love. Very reminiscent of Zipporah, the mother of Moses. Adversities always have its tender stuff.
4. The marriage was contrated. It was divinely arranged, it was goal driven, military harassment could not dissolve it and multiple imprisonment of the groom could not disintegrate it.
5. The book portrays Mr. Femi Falana as sharp, witty but truthful to the skin, at the same time, one who would not meander like croocked snakes nor pander to assuage the ego of powers that be.
On and on like that. This man received a standing, deafening ovation.
