ROMANCE: "WINDOW PAIN" BY MAURICE
I watch her every day
I chock,
and words slip away
I love her I know
Or maybe
It's just a lustful flow
Goes past my place
She passes
Hardens my case
I love every bit of
What I see
Swaving and shaking off
Am owned, oh yeah
Am scared
She's just too fair
I know it's madness
Yeah
We are separate classes
So I press it all inside
My poetry
And hurt my pride...
Watching through the window pain.
MAURICE N. CHIADZWA
- Zimbabwe
The poet persona speaks about a woman whom he develops feeling for each time she passes through his window. Hence, the speaker feels a pain when he sees this lady walking at the window side.
